Mercury-safe dentistry

Today's Dental Centre is an experienced amalgam-free, mercury-safe office. Because mercury is a known toxin (there's no safe amount to have in your body), we choose to use tooth-coloured composite material for fillings. When replacing sliver-filling amalgams with contemporary, safer composite fillings, we ensure the safe and ethical removal of existing mercury as set by the canadian Dental Association guidelines.

TDC's Dr. Stewart Vinnels is a member of International Association of Mercury Safe Dentists (IAMSD) and our office recommends the IAMSD as an extensive, easy-to-understand online resource, filled with useful facts about mercury-safe dentistry and mercury's long-range, negative effects on the human body.

Mercury Fillings and Insurance Coverage
